Coolish, but 17C at this time seems mild compared with early in the week. Only 3.2 mm of rain today, though seemed like more, hopefully will get something out of this tomorrow. (otherwise it is just nuisance rain)

Another warm day. Nothing remotely resembling late autumn on horizon. Unseasonal weather next week with maybe a 25 Wednesday in Sydney west. It is really looking bad for the snowies now. Maybe rival 2006 shocker.

Norah Head warmest place in NSW today. Was already running above average. Today and the continuing warmth for rest of May will see it be a pretty above average May

Reached 12.5C here - a little above normal with plenty of sunshine. Rain last night has rescued us from what was looking like an extremely dry month. 28mm so far this month. Currently 11C. Soon time to get the fire started.

Grafton ended up edging Norah head out with a 24.7 . Todays weather bore no resemblance to the forecast. What else is new

Guess it's back to here now, thanks for answering my question on the other thread Steve. Will be interesting to see if it holds.

Some small showers are developing around here, more so to the north of Bulahdelah. I wouldn't mind an offshore storm to develop!!

Wouldn't hold my breath on the system that's spinning up for snow this week. It has already fizzled well out.

Yeah I would say so.

There will probably no frost or snow this year so long as you keep raining your tears. Not only does it keep the cold and snow/ice away but you're also salting the ground inhibiting any glacial growth.

I must have missed the Memo - Pick on someone night!!!

The Newy radar is picking up some small solid cells, hopefully they become lightning active once out to sea.

The Great Frost War is ancient history.

When does Winter start? Who knows? It will get cooler in coming weeks. A cool change still seems to be on the cards for the start of calendar Winter, but GFS had pulled back a bit. But it's still early days. The 10/15 forecast on Weather.com shows temps in Sydney dropping back to about average from late in May, although it tends to undershoot temperatures: Weather.com Sydney

Today was a beautiful, warm, sunny day after a pleasantly cool morning, although I had work that kept me mostly indoors.

If you can't be with the weather you love, love the weather you're with.

Shoulder season is peak banter season. Sydney is still running well behind its May temps last year.

The average max is about 1.5C lower and the warmest day has been 26.2C, but we had 7 (almost 8) days over 26C last May

Urgh not the frost thing again, I thought that was over months ago... sleep

I think the peak time for "banter" (not sure you'd call it that) was in summer this year. That's when it was all happening. Read back through the heat threads of last summer.

Anyway a bit of fog around the lowest areas tonight, none here though.

Bit of activity around Eddy's area atm, wonder if there is any visible lightning.

Yes plenty of activity about, no recorded rainfall here. I got up half a dozen times during the night to have a peek out the window to see if there was any lightning, none observed unfortunately, it probably went nuts whilst I was sleeping!!
