Another very warm morning here at my place
im currently sitting on 14.3c dew point is ok at 10c with a light NNw'r blowing.
indoor temp is 18.8c which is the warmest ive seen for a long time in the morning.
min temp was 13.5 which is around 5 above average

another crisp morning.currently 5c expecting a MAX of around 25c which is WAY above average.
going to play golf today in this great weather

I am not sure where to post this, but I have this question. Why are the forecast temperatures from BOM for almost all NSW regional centres around 2-3 deg lower for Wednesday 23/8 than today Tuesday 22/8. There is no expected cloud, the same mild W-NW winds, no weather expected till Thursday, no changes whatever that I can see that would cause Wednesday to be so much cooler?. What has prompted BOM to make these forecasts.
Armidale 20 then 17
Tamworth 23 then 20
Coffs 24 then 22
Newcastle 24 then 22
Lismore 27 then 25 etc etc......

Thanks, however there is not much in this SW change. The only exception to a cooler wednesday are the western parts of the state and Riverina according to the forecast. Broken hill is the biggest exception, going for 21 today but 27 tommorow. I still tend to think that it will not be cooler on Wednesday in most parts of NSW. Time will tell soon enough what happens, I would not be suprised if the forecast maximums were bumped up a bit after 4pm today.

It’s getting very warm in the Sydney Basin ATM with some areas nudging 24°C. While weeding the garden yesterday, I noticed that despite reasonable rain in June and July, there wasn’t much moisture, even deep down in the soil. It’s now over 2 weeks since any reasonable rain has fallen, and looking grim with a stream of days having above normal maxima. There are signs that the temperature is peaking at Orange in the west of the tablelands, as that front moves in. Unfortunately for us here on the lee side of the ranges in a westerly wind regime, the heat will continue to blister.

21 Degrees here today! Defenantly Spring like Temps. Must mean there is a great cold front on it's way! Really need some good soaking rain. Anyone care to guess when we will ever see the garden get a good soaking? In a couple of years yeah . We will never get any sort of precipitation as long as these darn hot NW'lys are predominant. disgraceful really.

Awesome!!!! Current conditions here 11.1/ 9.1, 88% and 1016.7. Light showers a frequent occurence atm.  BTW, 0.4mm for the 24 hours to 9am this morning and a another mere 0.4mm since 9am. :p

Fri morning was pretty crazy here, brief hailstorm at 0420 for about 2mins with plenty of 1cm stones. About 30mins later the rest of the light showers had passed leaving partly cloudy skies & a moderate fog! Recorded 3.0mm of precipitation till 9am. The rest of the day saw a clear mid-morning with Cu's developing from around 10am & remained patchy for the rest of the day. A moderate S change hit at around 1245 bringing some gusty winds into the early evening. Low cloud has now began to really thicken up here atm. Great to see NSW experiencing some very diverse max temps today, Cooma saw 5°C while Grafton saw 32°C.
