I am not. I have sympathy for all that suffer from mother nature.

It has stopped actually raining here now, just a misty sort of rain here and there. Be nice to dry out a bit.

Just checked the GFS 18z extended outlook and even though I think there is a glitch between frames with a very large system (TC) forming near Solomon's/Vanuatu area and heading due west with crossing between Gladstone and Mackay somewhere. Still a long way out but could be something to keep an eye on. Could spell disaster for central Queensland with everywhere already saturated. Let's pray it heads further North.

Wrasse, wash your typing hands with soap. We don't want any more systems.

Is there a link to what you saw? I haven't worked out all the buttons on all the sites. shocked

bundybear here's the url.

I like to think the usual direction for TC in the coral sea is SE away from the coast.

Hi Subtropical and Bundybear, saw that link earlier too. I feel for you guys down there and hope you get a break from the rain soon. We've had a bit in Yeppoon, no flooding though, and all I have to complain about is the increased rate of grass growth and mowing frequency at my place. That model does look ominous though and let's all put our thoughts together for a shift towards Tville and Cairns where they really need the rain.

Thank you for your kind thoughts BlueMoon.

I am more than willing to share this rain. Just need to find a way to get it to where it needs to be.

I tipped 112mm out of my gauge from last night up till right now.

The next thing to get to Yeppoon is strong winds, Weatherzone is predicting 50+km a hour winds on Tuesday and Wednesday. So any trees that are in saturated soil could come down (hopefully not).In fact it looks quite windy for all of next week with SE winds.

Don't mind windy weather for a while for drying out this soggy ground but 55km/hour, as you say could push trees over, particularly the shallow rooted, like wattles.

No rain this morning. Sun is trying. Hubby still home and likely to remain that way cause he can't get out of here let alone over the other flooded roads.

Hope everyone is safe out there.

Let's hope we see a few days reprieve BBear to let the catchments drain away. The immidient futures forecast doesn't look good however. I'm gonna go stock up on a few supplies today just in case.
