Seriously is there a Party out there that is for the "Bluey Collar"workers !!!! lol :-) .. ive voted Labour most of my working life (40+ yrs)....BUT they have proven they cannot run a chook raffle. hence the only option ATM is Libs/Coalition. Labor now gets all its votes from Dole Bludgers & new arrivals ...4 what other reason would any one vote for them.... C F ???

So getting back to this, whadya reckon CF ?

Couldn't possibly comment on a show I didn't see and hear the context of the comments you say "Pricey" made.

Also wouldn't really place any importance on Pricey commentary unless he said something that canned the ALP, that'd add to his credibility in most peoples eyes.

The current crop of Pollies are ALL shonky RW, (IMO) and interested in personal aggrandisement - not the future of Australia.

Look at the turnover of P.M.'s in recent years ALP/COALITION, perfect example of this !

We are STILL the lucky country and the ranting in this thread about fascism here is a joke from people smart enough to know better.

Rein it in pls !

...and yet you mocked Steve Pr8ce's comments. Go figure. He knows more about the workings of the Liberal party than most.

If it is not in good humour, why don't people reign in their labelling, vitriolic cr@p, and use more reasonable impersonal language?

Since the Abbott/Turnbull government took power, there has been a reduction in personal freedoms, and a corresponding increase in government power. And whilst we are nowhere near being a Fascist state like Nazi Germany right now – and hopefully never will be – these things typically don’t happen overnight. Instead they happen bit by bit. And with each ‘little’ personal freedom we give up – whether it’s the right to report abuse in a detention center, or the right to access whatever internet site we want to – we shift the scales in favour of the state, and give up our individual rights.

Exactly. Not only are we spied upon with anything we do online, our phone calls and messages are screened. We have cameras on the road sides that record how often we use a road.

The govt has linked every dept to share our information between them all linked to medicare card numbers and drivers licences. Australia card by default?

Now you need a registration number to breed a dog. Microchip it and they want your car rego number, your local council area. Why? So they can report to them you own a dog and ensure you are paying the fees to do so.

Was the reason they wanted your name, date of birth and address on the latest census for data matching to other govt dept's?

The Australia we live in now is not the Australia I grew up in. I find the lack of concern about the govt knowing so much about our lives very worrying. By the time the population become concerned it will be too late.

And don't forget the visual data base the govt wants from drivers licences and passport photos.

All in the name of crime fighting.
