On the matter of those here claiming the PM is responsible for delivering SSM legislation, this is from your right wing aligned Murdoch news site. Note the two top comments. Says it all really.

Obviously CF is confused on who still holds the numbers in the house. I know it can be confusing for you mate with all the giddy talk of Qld Labor. But lets calm down and once again look at the facts. One is in government, the other isnt. The one in government allowed the bill to pass, as per its policy. the other didnt while in government, as per its policy. Therefore the current government claims responsibility. That concludes our lesson for today.

Ahaha . You are the one confused. In the end the people gave the government no choice. Spin it how you like. Did I mention that Townsville looks like going to Labor also? laugh

no, they won`t forget. to them, they only lost a battle, but took pleasure in the firefights of divisiveness, bringing out the extremists from both sides and reactivating their less vocal supporters.

Yes they are a minority but for them their war is still very much alive after all, acceptance in their eyes is not acceptable.
lmao.... What war is that?

The right to continue to discriminate?

You keep fighting that war behind your keyboard, while the rest of the world moves on.

Its done and dusted.
I'm sorry their NO vote amounted to nothing. lol

the plebiscite and the SSM members bill was about marriage and legal rights that go with it.Do you really believe the vocal NO will embrace, accept and warmly lead next years Mardi Gra.

And whos policy allowed that voice to be heard. I fail to see why you fight the fact, maybe it just hurts the ego, but its been passed. The likes of you and Shorten should just accept it.

There are 5 state seats in Tsv, 3 Labor, 1LNP and 1 Katter. For the record i dont live in the Tsv electorate so im not sure why you keep going on about it.

Hurts the ego? Ahahaha. Watching the likes of Abbott and Katter squirm along with the others listed above is hardly painful. Read the comments in the Australian article above wink

Maybe take the rose coloured glasses off first. That is Liberal heartland and even they agree this is not a win for Turnbull but a win for the Australian people. He can try and hijack it all he likes. It won't make it so.

If the LNP had any sense at all they would have ditched all of Newman's legacy before this election and run with Deb Frackington frankenstein Freckles and her Dim Tim Minder to begin with (typo)

And they all made it clear of their decision before voting based on the fact no ammendments were added for religous protections. So im not sure (yet again) why you are jumping up and down. Of course it was Turnbull who decided against adding the protections to get the bill passed before the sitting week ended, instead of adding in more sitting time. Of course you and the leftie friends like the ones posted on The Australian fb page above forgot that fact.
I notice the Labor MP who was against SSM didnt abstain. Wonder why, oh yes the ole commie rule of do as you are told not what you believe. heaven forbid a party allows MPs to choose.

Commies? You seem upset. I must say it has been a bad week for the Libs in Qld. Anna got her majority laugh

Oh and Turnbull ,just like the rest of Australia knew the outcome before the postal vote so all he has as a legacy is a waste of $120 Million !That will always be his legacy on SSM.

Actually it didn't amount to nothing. It dragged up a lot of anti LGBTIQ hatred that was entirely unnecessary. The ads on TV trying to tie to crap taught to children were a disgrace as were the comments about sodomy from the church groups whilst completely ignoring their atrocities against young boys.

No, sadly it amounted to so much more than nothing.

I highly doubt they will join in the parade but I think you overestimate the likelihood of those against SSM continuing the fight. My guess is we will hear a bit about religious freedoms bit not too much else. I would guess there will be more agitation from the yes side tbh(the SJW's and not necessarily the actual gay community). There are plenty of far left extremists who want to make sure that division remains at the surface.

Actually what was was not expected was how small it was.

They will struggle this term, no one left to blame. Only thing that will help them is if the LNP choose another leader with no balls to take the fight on. That is the problem with the right side. They are too gentle and not violent like, like the left side are.

How small it was? Last term you referred to her as "accidental". You can't have it both ways and to quote Julie Bishop " a win is a win" . Keep gnashing those teeth on those sour grapes. It's a great day in Qld.

Maybe now you can point to where she blamed anyone last term. You clearly have her confused with the disastrous Federal Coalition .

Meanwhile Barnaby Beetroot (typo) spent the last 6 months claiming SSM would destroy the institution of marriage and yet today confirmed he destroyed his own.
