Yeah severe warning on that one but it's the one further inland that looks real angry at the moment...

A couple from the offshore stuff tonight - taken from Nightcliff.

Made it back a bit late from a chase inland this afternoon so missed the best of the show while driving back to Darwin. Frustrating watching the sky explode close to home when you're 100km inland! Was all pretty mushy and rain wrapped by the time we got there.

Yeah sparking up now. Looks to be a nice convergent set-up with a fresh surge racing in from the SE.

127mm at Geriatric Park (a place close to my heart) yesterday.

Radar loop shows 3 different systems tracking over the area during the 24 hour period...not a bad effort!

Yes that area has been getting peppered a fair bit lately. The system that tracked over the Finniss around sunset last night looked extremely angry from where we were out on Cox Peninsular Road towards the Dundee turn-off displaying quite a few severe characteristics.

A few sections of bush through there have been seriously pruned by downburst winds at some point in the past week or two as well as is evidenced by scatterings of large trees snapped off and littering the roadside in several localised clusters.

Thanks HF, I'm looking forward to getting a chance to look over some of the cards when things quieten down a bit. Always interesting to see what you find when you go through the images (like the dirty big fingerprints on the top image above!) laugh

33mm at Nightcliff from that stuff that skirted the Northern Suburbs last night.

Not a problem mate, was a hell of a couple of weeks.

Bit of stuff stirring again in the rurals this afternoon. Can hear a few rumbles from Howard Springs way.

Staunch little updraft.

Been a quiet few days up here in Darwin but the nice cell mentioned above has just ramped up and should be smashing Palmerston at the moment. Looking very dark over that way from my spot.

Hopefully it makes it across the Harbour

Yeah flogging down up here now. Seems November is picking up from where October left off.

Well that just hit the CBD with a vengeance. Radar and Tracker will tell the story.

Easily dropped 20mm plus hopefully in the City Gauge.

Some very big and loud dangerous close range CG's dropped into the CBD. Personally witnessed at least one strike one of the tops of the buildings in here, had people on the street jumping thats for sure.

Glad November is setting a good standard on its first day!

Some more development in the rural now.

Yes that one certainly made a racket right over the city but I reckon it would have beaten up Pilko country on the way through, looked nasty down over Palmy.

Here's the TIME LAPSE from Evolution.
