So why do the BOM issue a Severe T storm warning including Rocky and Yeppoon , right after the rain clears in Rocky when it looks like we will get nothing ?

Constant flashes here, no rumbles yet though. Looking impressive on the radar.

Looks as though the northern end of this system has an intense core with radar images showing it between Mt Larcom and Mount Morgan. Hail??

Locations which may be affected
include Bundaberg, Gladstone, Rockhampton, Yeppoon, Gympie and Noosa.

--

Bundaberg, Rocky and Yeppoon looks like we are not even going to get diddly squat. Is further north of Bundy.

Looks like Gladstone will be the only big city affected.

Fantastic storm, plenty of flashes, rumbles and heavy rain. Unfortunately the majority of the bolts were hidden behind low level cloud and that combined with my camera being consistently pointed in the wrong direction meant no good pics for me tonight. Hopefully you scored a few mysteriousbrad, we could even see another round of storms in a few hours if that line out at Biloela holds together.

37.6mm for me so far out near the airport and looks like more cells forming in the same area as earlier on.
