Oh my those storms over the eastern Adelaide Hills and Baroosa Valley look fast-moving and locally intense! Pity they couldn't have occurred about a month earlier when I was in Adelaide! frown

If you discount the hills sites such as Mount Lofty and Mount Barker, it would be on the 29th (12.3, which edged out Kent Town and the Airport on 12.2)

For the last month, out of the five AWS sites I'd count as metro (Kent Town, Parafield, Edinburgh, Airport and Noarlunga), Kent Town had the highest or equal highest minimum the most with 16 times, followed by Noarlunga on 10, then Edinburgh with six, Airport with two and Parafield with one)

Nice tallish castellanus up here in Clare with some virga shafts, might be lucky enough to hear a rumble.

I pretty much doubt it may reach 34C tmw if it is going to cloud over with chance of shower till evening when it will increase to patchy rain then becoming area of rain overnight. And another reason I doubt is also because the wind will turn S to SW and increasing to 25-35kph late morning/early afternoon. I had a look at forecast graph and shows that Northern suburbs may touch 30C just while south of Northern suburbs may be stuck at mid 20's about and further south will be cooler than that.

Posted on South Aus weather on fb but basically tonight anywhere north of a line Lameroo/Gawler/Cowell/Ceduna is a chance tonight of some classic high based rapid fire isolated thundery showers. High quality super branchy bolts with fast moving cells. Good lift from strengthening jet aloft, cooling mids and good upper divergence increasing and a arc trough lingering. Not a lot but someone will get something. Riverland my pick.

Tomorrow looks good in Mid north and Riverland for closer chasing. EP and across southern nw pastoral for the ambitious before the thunderstorms gradually amalgamate to areas of patchy rain and more isolated thunderstorms. Adelaide a chance in early hours and during morning of some thunderstorms. Very small chance but worth it if one hits.

TS cool

Ah Okay. Will see if it happens or not. I am not sure. Nice inversion now or so as radar is picking up nicely.

I wouldn't put my hope up high anyway. Can't really see anything good for Adelaide. I might be wrong. But thats what latest outlook looks like. I rather sleep than staying up way too late trying to keep eyes open. LOL

Looks promising.

I've been keeping an eye on the weather this morning and these hourly forecasts are pretty accurate.

Getting occasional thunder here in Stockport, doesn't seem to be showing up on the radar.

Short bout of thunder and lightning then became muffled out over the sea. Not much rain.

Just had an active cell go over Goolwa. Around a dozen cg's in 40 minutes. It also looks like a very weak cell is becoming active near Currancy Creek.

Saw some really nice bolt heading over the Barossa this morning 5-6am. Had camera aimed at them but had to use a ND filter as the light was quickly getting brighter unfortunately i think the filter cut out the bolts as well frown beautiful morning though!
