I have a european wasp infestation at home, the nest or nests are in an area beside the house and below the house slab. There are 16 seperate enterances in the nest complex .I may try to spray the area after dark tonight with Permtherin, as i have all the protective clothing and spray but no experience this nasty bug. Any advice would be appreciated.

Get a small gas blow torch, that usually stitches them up!!
Trick is not to burn down the house though!!

mate when i was young my dad used a white powder sounded like permthin..bad stuff he used some hose pipe to blow it in to the nest at night..the trick is use a rag and once you poor it in block the hole with the rag so they cant get out.

If its a vertical hole and you want to piss them off park your lawn mower over top running... very amusing.. or again sit beside the hole and wack the wasp with a racket when they go out or in...(i got stung doing this) not advised.

thirdly fire a rifle at them from across the river...again not advisable as once they find where you r they tell their mates and geuss what ...you will get stung again....

I usally spray them with surface spray ,they seem to just drop as soon as it hits them .This nest about 3 inchs wide . If bigger i would spray and bolt and second dose it later lol, my non expert opinion. cheers doug

a torch with red cellophane at night and a ant powder from Bunnings, the person at bunnings will tell you which one, then pop it into the nest, rag sounds like a good idea and problem solved, my problem is I cant locate the nest, they fly over the house to drink from my fountain then gone out of site.
