GFS seems to want to drown townsville, sort of sending this system to maggie island then pulls it back out to sea then it strengthens and send it back to the coast north of townsville. 4 days of decent wind and most likely the average yearly rainfall poke

Had a very short shower out here, lasted about 10 seconds. Got all excited and then gone.
Going to be an interesting couple of days to actually see what happens with this system, just some rain would be great. Don't need bad wind or to get drowned with rain, but to see it go out to sea or get pulled SE would be worse. After last years failed wet I think Townsvillians will go nuts if we don't get something.
Hopefully the rains will come and go into Western Qld and help the farmers.

True NikG, we are on an acre but have avoided the excess so far by alternating the watering so everything gets some at least once a week.

Sky is black as ink out here but so far no real rain. Just a couple of short sharp showers.

It has been raining quite steadily for the passed 7 minutes at Rasmussen.

Nice big fat rain drops. Downpipes are flowing, spoon drain is flowing. My lawn is gulping it down. Have 1mm in the Nylex and my wife has called me an idiot for standing out in it but man it is sooo good to feel on your face.

11mm at the towers from that very lightning active thunderstorm last night.

Went for a drive to the weir this morning and it looks like that side of town saw much more rainfall.

Maggie H/Bay also got a drenching about 11am, sweet while it lasted, big, fat, mega wet season drops.

OCF have backed off the "BIG" forecast from last night but still 40+ on one day , nothing to sneeze at .

Jeez those king tides on Thurs, Fri and Sat are scary with this low/potential cyclone out there, hope for H/Bay's sake that it doesn't eventuate or bye, bye H/Bay foreshore

Hi all - just FYI I've added a "Coral Sea" region to Stormcast - it's linked to on the regions bar
