Awesome totals down your way Things. grin

You may well be Townsville's answer to rain. Been a while since they have a good NW flow of rain bands. Glad you all are getting some decent falls. Much needed down that way.

I hope the radar builds but that latest batch of scud looks like to miss the city.

After last years disappointing wet season, we all sat and waited for a decent one this year, but it is turning out to be just as bad. I know I can't write the season off just yet as it is only mid Feb, but this season is nothing like what it was a few years back. I guess we were spoilt back then.

I am very aware that our windows of opportunities for rain are narrowing, and with about a month or six weeks to go, I hope we get a smashing.

Anyone else feeling just as disheartened? Kinda sad the weather can do that to you lol.

My only silver lining is that I will be in Florida in June, with some time in Tampa Bay - a spot renowned for its incredible lightning activity. (The Darwin of the states). With a long drive through the Deep South States to New Orleans and through Texas, I can ONLY hope we will get some good storms... June/July is a good time for activity. I just have to wait four months *pout* frown

Chin up DU. Plenty of wet season days to go. The wettest city in Australia shall regain it strength in time.

The wet has been OK so far. December has been below average for me and that is it. February is panning out OK and I should make the monthly average. We just haven't had any exciting bursts yet...EG Townsville just had. Our turn will come before the wet is done.

That juicy scud just went a little to far to our north. A little bit building east of the city.....

We should have a bit of a light show as this cell heads just west of us. We may get a scud though if we are lucky. It's so humid .

Hope some of it makes it to G'vale

I reckon you may do better out of that line than us closer to town RF. It seems to be building over land to my eyes.

Defiantly looks like it's building the more it moves inland CF.

Incoming for you RF. That cell just dropped a quick 7mm for me.

This is great. The rain from that cell was short lived but it was torrential grin. The courtyard is already a puddle, and the roof gutters are overflowing. Also saw a few flashes up north.

... and it has started again. Awesome.

Last few frames of radar seem to have washed out. Is that because the heavy rain at Saddle Mountain is obscuring the data?

Wow!, had actually gone off to bed, had to get up and check a few windows, it was pumping down for a bit there. There was some thunder in there too. Hmm wouldn't be surprised if there is an inch in that lot, nearly stopped now, back to bed the heat sucked it out of me today.
