Hi all hoping a fellow sheep cocky can help me here. I am trying to find a running average for the ESTLI and more specifically, the trade 18-22kg indicator. I have been searching for a while and am buggered if I can find such a beast.

Reason why I want to find it is so I can get a realistic per KG price to budget from. Just by pure eye, it looks like I should be going off maybe around 420c/KG cw but a running average would be great. Can anyone help?

Have you tried getting in contact with the MLA to see if they can help you pull the reports that you need in order to play with the figures Adon?

Crikey, looking at the prices of sheep, you've stirred a little envy in this beef producer! Not that sheep have been worth much in years gone by, looks like they're finally earning some good money. I know in central western Queensland a few years back there was a big exodus from sheep because the wild dog problem was reaching plague proportions. I've been shooting at a property over the past 10 or so years and to shoot a dog was a real rarity (+ a nice little money earner thanks to the bounty), then the bounty gets removed, we head out and clean up 20 dogs in five days and missed about 10 more...

Cheers CF but I am after a running average like the 30 or 90day SOI. Just I was wanting 3 year average. That is a daily chart and while it shows the ups and downs of the market I reckon a longer term average is more useful in budgeting.
