Wow, deluge! Was driving home when that hit. Gutters are overflowing again. Seems like it won't last, but at least it's a lot cooler now.

edit: and I just checked the radar. Tiny spot. Hopefully it won't dissipate so the rest of you can enjoy some.

Just drove home from a pleasant evening on the esplanade. Could see some flashes out west there. She feels a lot warmer at home without that slight breeze you get along the waterfront.

closer to Mt Hypipamee than Herberton. will have to go and count that the cattle are intact in the morning!! I have lived in the Territory with all the build up storms and such - and this was a loud close one!

Cheers mate. I was up at Wondecla last week. It's a nice part of the world.

That scud sort of started forming near the CBD HF but got it together as it headed south.

Interesting little disturbance with embedded thunderstorms heading our way out of the CS. Best seen on Willis Island radar. It'd be nice if it made it all the way. 11.2mm at home since 9am.

best rain for the season was last night with 18mm (dont laugh Cairnsians) rain rate reached 3mm a minute.
But the water table must be still dry, as there is no springs or running water on the farm.

Another stinker today. Max 34.7c, highest DP 26.9c, Highest HI 45.2c.
Something has gotta break. Only managed 0.6mm yesterday and zip today.

Some nice storms tonight would be amazing as I have the night off work due to my lovely Black Lab eating rat bait. My stupid fault. I forgot how crafty Labs can be when trying to get anything they can eat. Luckily she didn't eat much so I just have to monitor her bowel movements for then next few days. sick

OMG Simmo, how distressing for you. Hope your dog makes a full recovery.

We've had about 100mm here this week which is not too shabby. Everything looks green and lush.

Hope your dog is alright Simmo.

Pity some of those scuds wouldn't come in and drop some rain on us.
