Maybe. Some models want a low or TC near here in coming days.

Can anyone point me in the direction for some climate stats for Kuranda. Can't seem to find anything except that it is cooler and less humid than Cairns.
Does anyone on this forum live up there. What is rainfall like compared to cairns?

There's extensive rainfall history for Kuranda on the BOM's 'Climate Data Online' page:

http://www.bom.gov.au/jsp/ncc/cdio/weath..._stn_num=031036

http://www.bom.gov.au/climate/data/

Temp/Humidity data is another story though..

Is that a westward moving trough(maybe mid or upper level) heading towards the NTC
http://www.goes.noaa.gov/sohemi/sohemiloops/vsmtsat.html

Looks like it has a nice little eddy forming at the northern end too

Yes would be nice but access is a bit of an outlier on a coastal crossing, particularly this far north.

EC deterministic wants a coastal runner . Access is the only one keen for it to keep going west. If it does come off I hope it's weak. The rain will do thanks. You can keep the wind.
