I think half the pings they were getting must have been made up to fulfill the media's hunger of some answers.....

That news report sounds like the most sense that I have heard in the past few weeks....... It seems like they have gone from one lead to the next dropping any kind of search in the initial areas..... If I was a person with a private sonar vessel or a private sub..... I'd be heading to that location

I found it . Another person found it ? Maybe a few planes went down that day and nobody realised it ... shocked

And despite this man's find, our fearsome leader says they'll keep looking in the Indian Ocean?

I have a feeling T.A's public relations team thought putting his head up there as a voice of authority and hope might have lifted people's opinion of him momentarily, which maybe it did for some. But they should stop flogging that angle and get him off this case - he really, really does not belong there.

Yes EddyG was interesting especially part about the Malaysian air force in Penang just watching it go straight past without even having a look at it or responding to the flight control to check it out , why it was off its flight plan ..

Certainly was interesting desieboy, lots of finger pointing and no one taking responsibility for it!!

There is a book out now on MH370 and Karl from the Today show gets a little heated about it!!

I was debating whether to post this in the YouTube thread or here. Decided on here because it's strictly aviation related. Also has nice music and spectacular scenery ;-)

The old B52 still has that presence about it after all these years of service. This one was a recent departure from Darwin en-route back to it's home base in Guam.

Beautiful pic Orebound kind of wish they still had gun turrets on them.Would give you the best veiw inside one of them.
First model aeroplane I built had 4 gun turrets on it was a Lancaster bomber.

Thanks Desie. Yes I do love the veteran stuff, the Lancaster was simply beautiful!

Should be some interesting stuff poking around in a the next couple of months as the Pitch Black operation builds up. Some nice hardware coming to town this time from the UAE etc. Word is that the US Strike Fighters might even be making an appearance although I'm somewhat skeptical on that one.

In the meantime, here's one of the AN (Scare North) Braz's on it's way over your way via Kunnas.

Was involved in Pitch Black when was in the Kimberley and Katherine years ago . Had a chance to see a C5 galaxy arrive direct from Germany had mid air refueling to Derby ,also saw some of Oz's old bombers the F111C in action .
The US pilots were impressed by the F111s cause a lot of em had hardly ever seen it flying because it was superseded by the F15 and not many remained in the USA .

"INVESTIGATORS believe someone in the cockpit of MH370 turned on the plane’s autopilot before it disappeared, as Australian search chiefs announced a new phase in the hunt for the missing airliner."

The plot deepens...... Auto pilot turned on..

Hey Orebound or anybody for that matter, I've got a rare old pic of a couple of Tiger Moths at the Broome Airport in the 1930s .
I want to put them on here but can you tell me what is the best way to make sure they don't get copied in their original pic. .Maybe a signature or something.

I upload to Photobucket and if there is some way I can make sure their not copied because they are originals given to me by an older bloke who has now passed away.

Thanks
