Light rain and thunder here, can occasionally see the lightning lighting up the inside of my room. :-)

Given the high gutter flow, I'm sure the street gutters will have been overpowered near my house and I reckon I will have a high tide mark of about 150mm against my roller door at home.

Pretty dam happy today (pardon the pun). Great falls. Had a real 'white out' kinda feel to it.

You can see the spin off the south coast with a low forming there, bringing in shower down there from the SE.looks to be off Batemans bay.

Today was some of the best rain in ages, steady and not too heavy, but it just didn't let up, which is the most useful rain. No storms but that's OK, rain's better. Had 32mm in the gauge around 4pm and haven't checked since, that's for the whole event although yesterday was more of a non-event, today made up for it.

Damn sticky here today, clothes damp as!!

Feels like I'm at the Central Coast not Bathurst!! smile

Rain was good though!!

It's so sticky here that it feels that any half decent trigger could cause more rain.

Clouds organising themselves for a bit more effort. Immediately to my north is a rapidly developing, low, heavy black and wide area cloud. Pretty sure something will appear on radar very very soon from it.

To my west is also getting organised with high level cloud plus a solid secondary and much lower layer of cloud. It looks and feels like more rain, humidity is a high as it can be at the moment.

Cirrus outflow looks incredible. I got a feeling this little system is gonna crank.

Ridge and the trough providing outflow.

This morning the showers, storms where moving in from the west, now they are moving up from nearly south, some out in Sydney's western suburbs, might move up into this area later if the activity intencyfies.

so much for "isolated showers" today. It rained gently pretty-much all day. And we got some blue sky later in the day, but next thing, drip drip drip on the roof. It was up to 40mm at sunset.

Things seem to have changed at Observatory Hill. Instead of recording rain when it doesn't, it now seems to be the only site in the Sydney area to record no rain so far this month. There are some missing data from early this week. Is the site malfunctioning?
