As to whether snow was falling on Mt Bryan when the walkers were there, one photo clearly shows snow on the guys jacket and back pack! So one can assume they walked into falling snow either on the way up or down! Guy in front also has snow on jacket and back pack!

"The Heysen Trail" on their Facebook page replied quickly to my question about whether it was snowing when they arrived at the summit, referring me to this story in the Northern Argus http://www.northernargus.com.au/story/2388233/snow-worries-hiking-mount-bryan/
I quote "As they ascended Mt Bryan they were subjected to heavy downpours, then hail and sleet, and finally near the summit snow driven horizontal by gale force winds" smile
Re snow on jackets and backpacks Kgb, I wasn't sure whether that came from falling snow or from sitting in the stone chair, snowball fights and other related activities that tend to spontaneously break out among humans of all ages when there's snow on the ground in SA wink
Hope it snows at your place next time Lord Gladstone!

Recieved another 3mm on the 30th that brings my final total for this system to 27mm.

Re: Meteoearth app. I've been using it for over a year now and found it a useful tool on my iPhone when away from my laptop. Well worth the few coins I think smile
