yes bitterly disappointed with last nights loss, we had a few chances to win that a let them slip. having said that we should never had let the game go out to a 6 goal lead, poor kicking in the 1st qtr cost us dearly. tell you though, when daniher and carlisle can learn to kick straight, we are going to do a lot better.

Dockers had a nail biting win over the Eagles who have lost about 5 close games this year.
Brisbane were amazing against the Kangas especially after half time to give Brownie a fitting send of . the Kangas keeping up there hot then cold record.

Bullies won a hard fought close finishing game against the Dees who at one stage came back from being 37 points down.

Essendon have had 3 close games in 3 weeks, and only been able to take advantage of wining one of them, the difference between success and failure - outright 6th and outright 9th.

Yes Mick the Dockers years ago were the best team at losing close ones I think they lost 11 games with under 2 goals difference.

The difference between winning and losing is immense though.

Great couple of games yesty with the Carlton Collingwood being the most boring of the three!
My beloved Power were beaten by a far more committed team. The crows deserved that win but they just need more consistency. If they can put in that effort week in then they will soon march up the ladder. Couple of injuries for Port should start to test our depth now, we are starting to get short on big men at the Port!

Waiting for Mick to comment but will get in first. Good win by the Bombers and deserved win at that. Surprised we got as close as we did but Port CANNOT play wet weather footy. Looking forward to playing the Cows in the first elimination final wink

Great standing tall win by the Suns, unfortunately injuries may dampen their efforts in coming rounds.

haha pilko, i had to work all weekend, it was a great game, knew port would come back hard. we have a bad history of good starts and allowing teams to over run us late. 4th game in a row decided by 10points or less for us. 2 wins, 2 losses.
sets up a massive game between essendon and collingwood next sunday evening. collingwood beat us on Anzac Day after we went out to 7 goal lead. one of those many games we let slip.

Lake suspended for 4 weeks due to choking, Petrie gets 0 weeks for a misconduct charge to the face, and Goddard gets charged 2 weeks for an off the ball bump without injury, 1 week with an early plee. i just don't get it.

Yeh its crap isn't it. They showed that bump of Goddards and compared it to about three others that were all thrown out without penalty. I hope Essendon appeal it as I think the AFL have it in for them atm crazy

wow nice work pilko, I certainly didn't tip the tigers, and I got one more wrong this weekend, but certainly did tip my boys, what a ripper game by Essendon! collingwoods lowest score against us in 90years! doesn't get back the 4 points we gave Collingwood on Anzac day but it was a nice way to shoot up to 7th!

Yes glad the Dons won today put me on top of the ladder yah, any win over the Pies is a good win .
Freo climbed to second on the ladder after a great win over GWS who I reckon played pretty well and have got a lot of talent.

Good to see the Roos decided to not turn up again. I didn't pick them as I thought it was time for them to lose the game they couldn't afford to lose, a bit like my team last week. This looming finals series is looking a ripper at this stage wink

Yes Pilko haven't rated the Blues much this year especially after last weeks thrashing .....but as Mick said after the game their best win yet. Kangaroos don't need erratic behaviour this time of year that's for sure.

Dockers had a bad loss to the revived Saints who completely out played them.
Will cry myself to sleep. cry cry

Cats just did enough to beat GWS to take second spot on the ladder.

been a tough round of tipping, looked like a pretty straight forward weekend when I did them. only have the geelong one correct so far, and that was a close call as well.

A great game of footy between the doggies and the bombers. Looks like 4/5 in my tips so happy with that. Could have easily been 1/5 such was the week in footy. My team got over the line, just but a win is a win. A few whingers saying the umps won it for Port but I think they need to see the WHOLE game before they make that comment. A bye couldn't come at a better time as it gives an extra week for a couple of our players to recover.

yeah was a tough ole game last night, doggies were tough but lack the muscle in the 4th. jake carlisle was just on fire, 8.2 was a career best by far. going to be a big name in our game as his career progresses. takes the bombers to equal 6th now.

was a funny ole weekend, north lost, freo lost while Geelong, Port and Essendon only just got themselves over the line. could have been a real shake up for the top 8.
