Wow, it only dropped to -1.9°C overnight, much hotter than predicted. Now at 9.15am it is a pleasant 4.9°C. It looks like we could be in for a top of 15°C. A scorcher.
On the Fox weather channel this morning, the presenter said, Canberra had a very chilly start. -1.9°C is very chilly? If she only knew what very chilly actually is. Already today I've seen workmen outside in T-shirts and sleeveless Hi-vis vests ... I guess, being chilly is relative.
Warren.

Models seem to be picking up more rain/showers from monday onwards from a trough feature or ECL feature.
ACCESS shows an ECL forming up near QLD.

Thanx Eddy for sand info. Never climbed Yaacaba head. Got down end of beach at Hawks nest once but was too shagged out from heat to go any further. Put on me bucket list.
Back to non event weather. Bit of high cloud about and SWester.

Lovely and cool up here and mostly sunny in the upper mountains today. BTW, for those interested, the video I posted earlier of Bridal Veil Falls in the other thread was a trickle compared to this in January 2010. This was an incredible storm, about 104mm in 85 minutes. Heavy drizzle here atm, which is causing quite low visibility. Tiny little drops. Unlike you Eddy, I'm hating the looks of GFS. It looks like a February or April outlook, but colder. A wet end to August is quite depressing actually. We've already had enough rain here. IMO theres nothing worse than days of rain and S/SE'ers in winter, unless it's from an ECL of course. I'm hoping for a nice sunny September

Good this morning the flow is coming in from a more SE to E direction, any showers on the coast should move a little further inland hopefully.

Check this out Eddy taken at Blacksmith beach at 1pm. 30 mins later there was a very heavy downpour at nearby Belmont. I had a god awful time at a servo on the non covered bowser side.
