Yeah not good day for wheat field. :\ Good news front is on the way that bring wind change and help to ease the wind from gale force northerlies to just normal fresh SW wind for a change.

I'd say so, the wind at Pt Lincoln has now shifted to the WSW, change is not far away.

Had a scare earlier with the pole which was holding up my sensors snapping in half thankfully i had a screw driver on hand to remove the broken half and replace the top part holding the sensors back into its original place

What a day lots of places have lost power due to strong wind bring branches/trees down on powerline. Also the dust haze are significant. The pollen level was extreme which gave me a full of terrible hayfever today and had to take medication to fight off unfortunately. And today was good day for police to make some arrested for last night arson activity. Such a shame they show careless to start the fire. So Evo you are right on spot it was arson. frown I misunderstood your last post though apparently.

Our power went out today for about 30 minutes around lunch time. There was strongish winds, which littered my backyard with lots of leaves and debri. I decided to go for a drive with the family into the hills. We barely got into the hills and had to drive into oncoming traffic to avoid a fallen tree. Lots of downed branches and leaf debri in the hills. A bit windy and breezy but nothing over the top or too scary. Topped it off with some nice cakes at Lyndoch bakery. back home now and it's cooled down nicely. Still a bit breezy.
