Doppler seemed to show some rotation with that dangerous cell as it passed to the north of Logan. That cell is making a B line straight towards us. Very black over the city.

I'm in the city, queen street. This storm is a awesome the amount of large cracks of thunder overhead is/was numerous ... nup still going! Just fantastic - The wind seems quite strong indeed pushing between my building and the next, sort of howling a little. And the rain is just bucketing down and at times horizontal. Nice storm so far.

Gotta agree with you there, this is the worst season to date I have ever seen, Kingaroy has always been below average compared to the rest of Queensland for storms, but this year has just been ridiculous. We have not had a single storm since August. I wish I lived in Brisbane again. Oh well, at least I'll be basking in the storm infested Top End this time next week.

was just driving home in that about 20 minutes ago.......Fairfield Rd at Rocklea was 200mm deep atleast in the left lane (though it usually does that), water was just starting to go over the road under the rail line at Muriel Ave (would be well under by now i'd say), and Muriel Ave heading towards Evans Rd you couldn't drive in the left lane due to depth of water there. My neighbours 3 doors up have sand bagged there driveway due to amount of water coming down the gutter, it's funneled more into our yard and for the first time ever i have water flowing through my shed in the backyard
will be interesting to see what total we end up with after it stops

These two cameras should capture some great imagery in the next hour or so - solid storm approaching Gympie from the south. These two cameras take images at 30 second intervals and are the 'next generation' Weathercam Network systems to they shouldn't miss a bit while the storm approaches.. assuming power and internet remains on. It'll be a good test for them!

PS - GusO, more than happy to do you a STRAIGHT SWAP. For Storms I'll live in Kingaroy any day smile I'll be packed by dinner time if your that keen lol

Kingaroy may be doing poorly this season, but it gave me and 2 other chasers an epic storm on Dec 31 last year, with some of the best structure all season in Australia . As for the top end, well its doing as poorly as Kingaroy this season....
