Most of the models are doing a backflip on that trough and now suggesting it could be quite wet up here by the weekend.

I was driving from Townsville to Malanda last week - I couldn't get over how dry everything is! The drive west of Innisfail up the Palmerston is usually green, but it was brown! Driest Ive ever seen it. Even the sign coming into Innisfail from the north - "Green like you've never seen" was surrounded by dead grass. Not to mention water restrictions in Tully...

Got to love journalists.

"Freshwater crocodiles can grow up to three metres in length and generally live in the Northern Territory."

http://www.abc.net.au/news/2014-12-02/me...an-park/5934428

Someone forgot to tell the thousands that live in Queensland and WA.

Showers moving along the ranges from down south at the moment. Will they make it here?

Radar is fine HF. It only showed up on the 512k because it was in the blind spot to the south. Most of it has burnt off.

Freshies don't naturally live on the east coast of QLD but they are hardly restricted to the NT. But hey.surely it is too much to ask a journalist to actually do some research nowadays.

Sunday may be the day. Models have been pushing the storm action a little further east over the last couple days.

Probably will change, however, at least the interior may get some good falls and action out of this trough system

Might be worth a drive over the mountains in Sunday!!

A couple of shots from the yard.

Stunning vibrant green beetles in one of our Christmas palms. No macro sorry.

Stowaway in the Nylex.

CF if that was in my nylex it would look like a prune caught in spider webs! Yours has even got condensation in it
I haven't seen any 'Xmas' beetles at my place yet.

Its building up...
