Do you know if there was any hail in the Pentland cell?

Hey Wezza, I highly doubt it, as the cold pool hasnt yet really taken its effect on the uppers as of yet. Tomorrow is a much better chance at hail.

The pentland cell was definatly lightning active on lightning tracker, so thats what you were seeing out at the towers to the west!

Interesting to see that the pentland cell was also moving at 53kmhr, nearly 30 knots !!! The winds will increase even further tomorrow!!!

If you have a car, and wanna see some nasty storms, get inland tomorrow arvo people!

Haha - Things, its bed time bro! The pentland cell looks to be dieing now, very positive to see that activity though.

Cheers Trav. Hoping to see some great action here tomorrow, we've got a place just near the airport with a good view to watch the storms roll in. The grass is hanging out for a drink too. wink

Bloody wheels on my car are screwed, wouldn't trust driving that thing to the end of the street in it's current state. Was gonna have a look at it tomorrow but if a storm wants to roll over instead, I'm sure I could postpone it a couple days wink

It looks like quite a potent setup, almost similar to the storms down here lately rather than the usual no shear, high instability storms that you guys in the tropics would usually get. Enjoy!!

Hey Trav- you live in T'ville don't ya?? Just not quite sure because your location says Parramatta.

Party cloudy here this morning, mega unstable, the sky looks insane. It should burn off but we have even more showers forming over Herveys range this morning, Theres obviously no cap on the atmosphere today and storms could just pop up anywhere at any time out west.

Unsure if all that activity was supposed to make the coast south of us though

Yeah it looks crazy out there, almost like the clouds could drop a bolt any moment grin Even though it's too early it's good to see the activity around Hervey range, kinda shows the coast shouldn't be out of the question for some action.
