Haha CF, saw one and kids saw two before bed so that was enough.
Nice at Speewah this morning, but I think it is gonna get toasty pretty quick.

Hahaha CF I saw one when I got home from work and was in the pool. Went out a bit later to look and cloud everywhere... went to bed.

Was hoping the DP would be a bit lower today but currently on 26.1.
Does not look like we have much on the cards for the foreseeable future. frown

You can get 64km on any Weatherzone radar imagery, it's just not displayed directly. Just change 128/256km in the URL to 64km smile

http://www.weatherzone.com.au/radar/qld/cairns/64km

Resolution looks great!

BoM are switching over now. No 64k up there yet.

It's up but on the old page still. No Doppler showing either. Though that was earmarked for early next year.

dont count on it. Townsville radar was replaced a few years back. No doppler (thought reports are its doppler ready) and no 64km view either.

great that you have your radar back up running non the less.

From memory I think it was a newer type of radar (increased resolution maybe), though not actually doppler. AFAIK Cairns is/was getting a legit doppler though.

That's what the met said in the link I posted. Are you guys able to view 64k in WZ Townsville radar Things?

*EDIT* Never mind I just checked myself. You can but it's not hi res by the looks. The Cairns one has a much higher resolution at 64k.
