Methinks the BoM is bamboozled with this one.

Just sitting back like everyone else, and knocking up the track maps as it happens !

Oh damn, 'ta for 'Kitty City', Things. Just had my kitty fly off the bed when I cracked up laughing at it. (what kind of brain comes up with that?? it's nuts!)

(... and your Yasi number gave me a chuckle, too. But I guess there were lots of scared folks about that didn't have the weather knowledge to get it *shrug*)

Cancelled school sport for Thursday afternoon, low and behold Nathan heads north.

Should have kept it on? Or cancelled sooner? wink

Chains at the ready here too. Might be a excess supply of black wattle after this. In a way might be handy, saves me having to drop em.

Amazing how far north those aurora;s were seen, For those that don't know Kiama is only an hour south of the southern areas of Sydney.

Its hard to believe that 140'yrs of settlement and Cairns has never had a direct hit from a TC. The city has been very lucky and alot of buildings untested by the eyewall of a severe TC. Its only a matter of time.....

The BoM advice seems to think Cairns will at least get gales, in fact they think as far South as Cardwell. They also mention destructive/very destructive from Innisfail North, but I doubt they'll be anywhere South of Mossman with that current track.
