Last burst of warm weather today as we head properly into a pattern of fronts and strong westerlies this week.
Strong winds today proceeding the front tonight brought warm temps, raised dust, and gusty winds. A period of relative calm now before the front moves through overnight with another period of strong winds and showers.
Weaker fronts move through to our sth during the week but keep us in fairly strong westerly airstream.
City might see around 10mm maybe up to 15mm in places.
Hills up to inch or so.

Yea has been rather breezy today. Impressive swells as well with this low 9m tomorrow off the LSE coast.

Fairly dry system, mostly due to the fact it is already beginning to slide. Very unstable cold pool but unfortunately the core of that goes below KI. However, once the front is through (won't notice much with it rain wise) the coldies will still come in, still a chance of some strong and fairly hefty coldies South of about Noarlunga, with a wee chance of small hail. Thunder a chance over KI and maybe southern Fleurieu but much more likely offshore. Damaging wind possible with coldies though.

Rain as Tim mentioned as multiple fronts keep pumping across the waters to the south as the LWT establishes over Tassie. They only clip us but the onshore orographics will be working very well. Quite likely falls of 40-60mm in the hills come the end of it all.

Got to a max of 27.4 degrees c at home today.

Max wind gust so far today was 42 km/h at 3:42 PM.

Tried to rain a couple of times during the day but not enough to register in gauge.

Watched that 2.30am front come in. Saw the clouds moving very fast and were skirting me here. Quite weird to watch them sliding, turning South, so close but so far.
Winds gusty but not severe here yet I think.

1.7mm until 715am at home. Strong winds broke off a main branch on our mandarin tree, probably due to the heavy weight of the fruit.

Lights out Torrens/South & Pym/South road intersections. Belted down with very heavy rain as I arrived at work in Kilburn.

The sound of the howling wind & rain brought back memories of a typical 1970's winter day....

That line smashed us here on 8am, even got some hail.
Our main problem here is the smoke from the fire down at Wingfield. Cannot stay outside for long, and is still infiltrating the house even with windows closed etc...

6mm recorded here to 9am.

A bit of wild wooly day today. ONE FOR THE PENGUINS!
Car was blown sideway most of the way to work this morning with a few spits and spats. But the main course was interesting with heavy rain twice maing it hard to hear in the work shed.

Back here at home, the weatherstation is telling me 5.5 mm of rain from todays dump.

More showers overnight and off and on durin the rest of the week , with possibly 2 - 7 mm more by friday.

Having an absolute ball in this stream. Another two showers, the current one has some more small hail mixed in. Still Cb's around at sunset, though low topped around 16-17,000ft.

Multitude of fronts pushing in over coming days. Huge swell around as well.

What a shocking day here today really takes the spring out of ones step and the rest of the week doesn't look any better.
Hate these westerly streams...more dust on the way frown

Yer certainly no shortage of westerlies over the coming week and a bit....the only slight positive is that the stream does ease off from what we have been getting, although still breezy at times, nothing severe or savage. Hopefully those big rains last month mitigate some of the damage now mate.

Meanwhile, the stream I have been in has finally shifted just N of me. 11mm to 7pm since 9am, incredible compared to rest of Adelaide, stands out like a sore thumb.
