California has had some odd weather lately. Apart from their ongoing drought. I believe there were thunderstorms in LA over the last couple of days, summer thunderstorms are rare in coastal California. Also some low maximum temperatures in parts due to the cloud/storms.

The thunderstorms are remnant moisture from a tropical system. LA has had 9mm over the last two days, which is a lot for them in a summer month (but obviously of only very limited relevance to the drought).
