As if it doesn't get hot enough in the Middle East they are now experiencing a heatwave.

Two highlights from the past few days are -
Baghdad records its all time record of 51.
Bandar Mahshahr, Iran had a temp/dp reading of 43/32.

There have been higher temps than Baghdad around the area but I don't know the highest. Go to the ogimet search page here and see how regularly some of the usual suspects have reached 50 lately. Try Basra.

32 deg dew point!!!!!!!wowza. I thought 29 was bad in cairns last year but that blows it out of the water
