Morning all just checked in with Tas Police, Southern Outlet closed completely now - they then advise motorists to use the Channel Highway but at the end of the list say that that road is closed too from Kingston to Taroona...that tells me that southern Tasmania is on its own south of a line from Hobart, would that be correct?

Snow settled here, just had a solid 30 min of it. Temp in the low 1's. Might see a bit more in the next 90 min or so before it starts to warm a little

Windy and snowing hard here.

If wind gets up there is going to be a lot of power outages as snow/ wattles with flowers/ wet ground and wind watch out!!

What elevation are you at in Burnie? - near the shore or in one of the more elevated suburbs?

One of the more elevated suburbs, up around 150m. I'll check around to see if much made it to the city below.

Just for the record, snowed here to sea level (board walk frozen at West Beach with snow in it), 2cm at Ridgley (~300m). Lightly snowing again. Not much left in it for this part of the world.
