Does anyone remember what that noise is called that directly follows a flash of light from the Clouds?

I miss it :-(

A few pictures from 12th of snow on top of Mount Bryan.

Was quite a cold night with the temperature dipping to -1.5 with strong winds. It was cold enough that even orographically formed drizzle was frozen and sticking to things. Watching the cold front come in was also a highlight, unlimited visibility and minutes later down to 50m with heavy fog and rain.
Large powdery snowflakes on my pants.

1.5cm of settled snow

Snow on my tent (which has been knocked over by wind lol)

An amazing sunset last night in very still conditions.

Extensive fog areas around this morning. Best 'sea out' of fog I have seen.

Also had 30mm from the snow system, 75mm MTD. It has been an awesome August thus far.

Excellent photos, personally love the 2nd to last. Im unsure what to make of the models.....hope there is some rain for the inland like 10-15mm cause right now would be the difference of avg or hopefully better.

Can't really anything much your way with this first system, be lucky to scrap 1mm, probably a good chance of less than 0.2mm. Next system right after showing potential but still very isolated heavy falls atm...

Yeah TS the models have backed off which I should've known would happen so I don't expect much out of the next one either, but if it comes off it would be great.

Looking pretty pathetic this system sadly.... Although great for Lower EP and KI, with possible 10-20mm there.
City lucky to see 2mm in most places. might be lucky to snare 5mm.

Sunday-Monday system looks mighty interesting, but again city to miss out. Looks FANTASTIC for West Coast, Nth EP, Mid North, and Riverland!
Upwards of 20-50mm in some of those areas..

Ended up with a nice 19.5mm overnight. Takes our monthly total to 94.5mm, really setting the crops up for a good year after a reasonably dry start.

Nothing from last system and nothing from this system, the weather has gone to the dogs.
