I am heading to the north island early Sep, doing great ocean road over a few days for the b'day. Had that one planned for quite a while.

In fairness, Payshence is the only person on the left hand side, pretty thin on the ground on that side.

Yes, about 30 min either way, depending on traffic/parking etc.

Interested to see what this rain event on Fri brings, stunner of a day today, pretty frosty first thing again. Must have had at least 20 frosts so far, compared to about 5 last year.

Dan - what's your coldest night at home this season? How many neg temps do you get around Ridgely?

We are averaging 0.1 degrees min so far this month. Max so far 12.7, bugger all rain although we are also hoping for a good drop (up to 30mm) Sun/Monday.

Moved away from Ridgley after 10 months there. Have a place in upper Burnie - not as interesting, but been below a couple of times, coldest was -1. Lots of nights between 1-3. Tend to get stuck around 3 or 4 degrees early in the night until it can take another step after midnight, by then Wynyard is a few degrees colder.

We are a bit behind last year in rainfall, but have surpassed last August for rainfall, so anything from here on in will wipe some of the difference. Driest year since I moved up north at this point, but had everything from 830mm through to 1300mm in the past 4 years.

Yes Wynyard seems to be a bit of a cold hollow.

Looks like plenty of rain on the way for you guys and us as well. We will appreciate the rain around here. smile

Awesome afternoon in Burnie, not a cloud to be seen.

Pffft.... not a hint of snow like weather down here, not even a cloud hanging over Mount Owen. Had my hopes a bit high.

Hi Payshense,

You were a day late!!!
Snow was forecast to 700m yesterday!!!

Didn't turn out to be much though.

Looks like a good bit of Southerly to South Easterly weather at the weekend so I should see some good showers or rain here in the SE.

Maybe a bit cold on Friday with snow to 600 a chance.

Morning all

Yes Dave, was in shorts Monday morning. Sitting under the heat pump right now in trackies, windcheater and uggies . Light frost here this morning. Glorious sunny day, not a wisp of cloud to be seen.

Going by ACCESS-R the entire state will be under 532 thickness or less by the early hours of Friday morning. With a small pool of 520 thickness moving over the South and West of the State from mid morning thought till early evening.
