Hello everyone, I am new to the forum. The images of cyclone in the Pacific and Himawari-8 geostationary image are amazing. I have seen those Geological Survey. It is really nice. Thank you for sharing.

Night time areas have a back-ground image dropped in so it is not a "real live" image of the ground just the clouds.

Northern Hemisphere - recently pretty warm at the North Pole and this looks like another heat plume trying to get there:



Plus - check the contrails to the upper right of the image coming out of the "plume".

Big dust storms over NSW:



I can't imagine the tonnage of soil in the air - I guess it dumps iron into the ocean which causes blooms. looks like it will make New Zealand.

Already had most of the hardware as I chase C band FTA TV satellites. All I needed was the IP receiver.
