I thought the same, Ronfishes, maybe his dust has turned to mud by the looks of the radar. I'm envious, very little here.

It's absolutely gorgeous.
Started at 2pm for about 20mins, 5 minute break, trying to start again, but I think has eased off.
Nice and cool.
Through my camera zoom, it looks like 8mm so far.

Yep, a bit of mud around. At least it will settle the dust for a day.

Edit:
... good as finished now. Better than nothing. smile

Ahh, yes. So so nice. Still the odd splatter.
At midday it was 36 degrees heading upwards. Probably got to 37, but now a comfy 30.

nice line of storms west of Herberton and Ravenshoe - wonder whether it will make it over the ranges and to the coast

Well done. Hopefully you get another metre in the next few months and give those creeks a good flushing.

OMG it is REAL RAIN. It's even coming down at an angle, almost horizontal.
Thunder, and a few good bits of lightning real close.
Ooohhhhh, I'm sooooo excited.....!!!!

Woooeeeee, in 15min since last post we've had over 25mm. Let's see if it overflows my 40mm gauge. If it does I might have to buy a Nylex next trip to town. grin

I haven't wanted to jinx myself, so hadn't looked at the radar. Where did this lot come from?

After that 8mm we got around 2pm, I made a point of giving the garden a big soak, even though I could see the black sky. I didn't stop until it actually rained on me. Been disappointed too many times when it's split each side of town.

I also left all my electronics plugged into the power.

We had a few good bolts of lightning within the kilometre, and there's a continuing light show to the nor-nor west. Not often, but a nice spread across the sky. Thunder rumbling in the distance.

How nice that was. It's just been so depressing, hoping for rain.

Through my camera it looks about 28.9mm, but I'll go out and check properly now - and empty the gauge.

That was 30mm. Still sprinkling. Looks like the rest of that cell will miss us though.

21.6 degrees on the deck and 75% humidity.
28.7 degrees inside. That's my favourite temperature, as you may guess.

Lovely evening light with a bit of pink reflection from the sun, and a rainbow is appearing.

It's still black outside. With a reasonable amount of lightning to the north, and thunder in the distance.

Geez, a good storm is such a mood changer.

Still sprinkling, so nicked out and had a look at the gauge. Had another 3mm by 6.45pm.
There's a few good lightning bolts going to ground to the north. Thunder still rumbling.

What a fabulous evening.

No, won't get rid of the gauge. I want to see it keep overflowing.
