Good stuff man. Thanks and yeah I remember mentioning that now, but can't remember exactly the date it happened. smile Yep, pretty much all is except for extremely fine water droplets (wouldn't even call them raindrops).

Virga out here too at the moment.

Full cloud out here but fairly high based. It at least smells a bit of moisture today, have not had that for ages.

Hopefully a shower later, currently pushing up my excess water bill. smile

Cloud cover will take the sting out of the sun today, don't mind that.

Yesterday there were reports of some rain down in the Monaro region, mainly closer to the coastal ranges. Reckon they would have enjoyed that.

Andrew - good to see you posting again. grin

Just the odd spit here and there in Canberra, pleasantly cool too.
Hoping for some storm action tomorrow, it would be nice to see a decent storm before I leave, but I'm not holding my breath for it!!

After a few early sunny breaks, it's now solid overcast and temps stuck on 23 across Sydney. The NE'er didn't stop all night, although it looks like NW'ers are trying to get started at higher levels (e.g. Mount Boyce). It's 22 at Mt Boyce (equivalent to 29 at sea level) so there is some warm air aloft.

It doesn't look like rain, although the rader shows light showers passing over the Illawarra.

Ther forecast mentions the 'T' word for the first time in a while, although at the moment thunderstorms look unlikely. We shall see. There has been no significant rain in Sydney in 22 days, we might get a few drops today.

I was out in the city last night for dinner and I could count the couple of light raindrops falling, I think I managed to even feel about 3 land on my arm..... WOOOO.
Mmm There does look to be a lot of the right ingredients tomorrow and Thursday to see a storm around Sydney, however I worry that something will turn up and ruin the chances.

Well I went for a pushbike ride to try and force the rain, just got a few drops and that was it, here's hoping that what is on the radar drifts our way.
I thought about washing the car (its very dirty from its trip to Western Australia and back) but now its time to rest for a bit. With a bit of luck we will get something as the garden is bone dry here.

Cloud just starting to look slightly more substantial here. Actually looks like it could possibly sprinkle a little in an hour or so.

Some fast approaching showers heading towards the basin.
BOM radar showing them pushing into the yellow for intensity.
Has there ever been yellow virga? smile

Homer.

Some steady rain here now. Can confirm it's not virga. smile Quite big sized drops.
Enough to make everything quite wet outside.
Warm rain too. Temp still 24.6 deg's.

Homer

Edit.

Actually it's just become quite heavy!!

Steady light to moderate rain just started here.

It's been solid overcast since mid morning, with the temperature steady on around 24 since then.
