Yer good one Eddie. I'd love to walk out into the coolness of that water. I can feel the temperature drop just looking at it.....

Two of my favourite photograph subjects. Hay bales and a beautiful cumulus sky. Put them together for a nice result

Thanks Dave and rainiac. I thought I'd try for the Christmas day full moon. Things looked bleak when it disappeared in the cloud but it reappeared just before it set.

I was lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time on New Years Eve, and photographed the Aurora Australis from Flinders on the southern Mornington Peninsula. It was just a faint white glow on the horizon above the clouds to the naked eye, but she showed her true and beautiful colours on the back of the camera.

These are very quick photoshop edits, and I'll have another go in Lightroom when I get the chance. I also won't embed the images, as they are a tad big (I'll fix that later, too!)

Nice work stormygirl, seems that new years eve Aurora was quite the show! Love that shot of the moon as well skysthelimit, serene scene.

Thought I may as well chuck some images up, all taken this summer (except the fire which was a couple weeks beforehand). Been a pretty average summer for weather with clear skies dominating but it's had its moments.

Nice selection there Marcus. Always good to share the spoils of your chase. The pick of them for me has to be the fire. The menacing smoke and the the people element (cars) on what was a very dangerous situation. Two fatalities from memory frown

Wow Eddy beautiful of Port Stephens mate. I haven't been there for over a year now so that photo makes me really want to go back to the 'Bay.

Nice one rainiac, strange how the cloud is going across Mt Warning like that.

Good stuff Skysthelimit, I really like those pics, particularly the last one.

Great pics Stormygirl, I haven't seen the aurora outside before, but would really like to one day.

And Marcus, wow impressive pics mate. I especially like the fourth one how the lightning lights up the whole cloud in a strange way.

My pics have nothing on some of the photos that are posted here. Well done guys!!! smile

Here's a collection of my best summer 2015/16 weather photos so far:

This is from Port Kembla in the late afternoon with some dark clouds approaching on the 6th of December.

The following 3 are taken from various places on the north side of Jervis Bay.

And lastly this is from Southern Highlands just before the new year.

Lovely shots on display finishing up with a couple of stunning sunsets. Well done everyone and thanks for sharing. We scored a couple of inches of rain recently and as a result there has been the odd morning where we've been treated to a fog display. These pics are from a week or so ago ... They hardly look like summer photos smile
First photo is of Gladstone township with Mt Herbie in the background shrouded in fog and the second of nearby hills.
