Yeah, I also saw the 160mm on Facebook and thought to myself "bet you haven't emptied your rain gauge for weeks"

OMG! Tonight is horrible .. there are enough mozzies here to carry you off. Sprayed with Tropical Strength Aeroguard, all lights off, mozzie coils everywhere. My poor wee dog is lying on the patio under our wall fan just panting with a big puddle under his head. There are SO many mozzies at the poor wee thing I am considering spraying him as well ... but don't know if it will hurt him.

This is the worst plague of mozzies I can remember for a very, very long time ......

Bit of weather potentially on its way to us from the south .. maybe??

It is stinking hot tonight 32C/72% humidity. That's hotter than last night. The storm front was only forming when I went to bed.

Only have 1 frog left in my laundry tubs, the other are out partying ... you should hear the noise they are making in my garden smile Also, my mock orange has been blooming for the last few days and there are so many blossoms on it now, the branches are weighed down.

Surely, surely, surely we will get some more rain ........

I feel so hot, I feel sick!

5.3mm for me last night - I don't think that would have created any run off for the dam at all in this part of the catchment area. Hopefully we'll do a bit better heading into the weekend.

Happy Birthday for yesterday Chookie.

0.5mm recorded overnight. Yeah it was just bloody yuck. Aircons on 24/7 the last 2 days due to issues with my arthritis flaring up again. It usually means we are in for a weather change. Not accurate to tell me what sort of a change but something.

Our geese are getting restless. Also house is covered in green ants again and black ants starting to move inside to. I have not spotted any wearing floaties yet. Mock orange is in bud, ants moving inside? Could be signs of a lot more rain. Probably just fantasizing.

Gimme a bloody cyclone.

Going through some photos from Mondays Severe Storms at Pentland. Ill throw a few more up later.

Under the Anvil of the last storm and another approaches from the SW south of Hughenden As I sat in Pentland. Constant thunder at this point.

Severe thunderstorm approaches Pentland, throwing wicked clear air bolts out, and a very nice deep blue base.

6 Bolts of Lightning strike at once, including a crawler which then turns into a CG probably 150km away from Charters Towers. MASSIVE distance. The bolt probably landed somewhere up near Abergowrie.
