Agree Payshense re frost.

Just need a cold out break and a clear calm night to follow.

19.6mm for the event and only a trace this morning.

26mm on Friday, down to a chilli 3.2 last night, pretty close to frosty-ness. Beautiful sunny days on sat and sun - around 18 degrees max.

3 at 7am, heavy dew, clear and calm

PVW, the use of fire is very popular down here. Either open fire, my favourite, or wood heater. I couldn't say wether it is the most common form of heating. Maybe the most desirable however. Who doesn't like sitting by a fire?

Your minimums are certainly cooling better than ours up here smile

Our first frost is generally say mid April.

Shame Hobart missed the rain again.

Evening all from the Bart , got to just over 18c today but felt a bit warmer out in the sun. Looking like mostly near average temps till next Monday which is looking very cold 16c . A few things to note , the daytimes max have for the first time dropped below record levels and the first medium UV level (5)kicks in this Wednesday . Certainly a sign things are finally moving in the right direction at last. smile

Min yesterday was 5.9, was 6.8 this morning. Paddocks covered in mist, could see a shallow inversion in places - no more than 30m deep. Picturesque morning with the pink sun rising in the east as I headed for work. Days getting short.

More rain? 100mm YTD up on average... just shame last year was so dry.

Hobart about 96mm ytd and that doesn't surprise me, a real rain shadow placement of the city. Needs Easterly to SE for good rain.

Dave - your location much better for precip than Hobart!! smile

Autumn is here (& there) now. Good!!

Hi all

Haven't been taking much notice of the weather forecast last few days. Been outside enjoying these glorious Autumn days.

According to BOM 4 day forecast for the West Coast, we are in for a good cool change over the weekend. Snow possible above 1300m. http://www.bom.gov.au/tas/forecasts/west.shtml

Hi all the run of sunny mild cloudless days continue in Hobart.
It's nice to have the cooler days but outside the sun seems still pretty hot . When we will ever see some decent rain is anyone's guess , I actually forget what the stuff looks like.
Whilst everyone I talk to is enjoying basting themselves in endless days and weeks of cloudless skies they are forgetting that we must have rain to survive.
