Yes I will enjoy the cool tomorrow , April looks like the heat returns once again according to other threads on here. Nothing unusual about that now as we just expect heat lasting at least half of the new month . I just wonder how much lower the dams can go before it's all over for Tasmania.

Into the last week of daylight saving down there now, with the clock change due next Sunday.

Looks like it's getting close to being needed too. Looks like it's pretty dull at 7am down there at the moment

Well with you lot finally cooling down a bit, our turn hopefully not too far behind.

Just like you guys, well overdue and of course way too dry here as well.

Some pretty serious minimums down there, neg temps up around Liawenee. smile

Low single digits in the West and North is a fair effort smile

Hang in there MH!! smile Do another rain dance!!

Longer term models giving me hope you will see more proper coolness over coming weeks!! smile

Saturday looking a bit fresh down there, flakeage definitely possible on the higher ground according to Access.

GFS very similar, EC a little less excited but I think Saturday has the potential to be cold and snowy above about 800m or thereabouts in the south and west.

Not much precip with it so flakes will be well spaced or nonexistent without precip obviously. Should be quite fresh on Mt W all day Saturday. smile

Was checking out this forecast change yesterday Dave, I agree it sure looks like a good possibility. Not enough for the Snowman you ordered though. laugh

Partly cloudy here, light winds and a cool 7.

Sunny skies once again here in Hobart , around 21c and the crows are in full song. The crows usually carry on like this when the heat returns , true Sat looks cooler but a couple of hotties to deal with first. Nothing unusual though for April down here these days , 2014 I believe being the hottest ? The climate and seasons are changing for sure. Lets hope this El Nino buggers off and we don't see another one for at least a decade!

Fully agree with the bugger off for 10 years bit!! grin

Wouldn't it be nice if we all had to whinge about excessive snow and floods for a change grin Maybe one day. smile

Cold change Saturday still looks on line. Also another on Tuesday/Wed next week. These two changes should help your temps "step down" another notch for the season I suspect.

I usually expect a pleasantly snowy cold change in Tassie in April. Also a good chance of snow in the Snowies in April in my memory.

24.8c today here in Hobart a good few degrees warmer than the BOM thought. Probably another 25c tomorrow or more depending on if it cools tonight which it's struggling to do as it's still 21c here at the moment. I just have a gut feeling we will still be seeing these sort of temps well into May.
