Depends on what sort of consequences we are talking about?

I think that Robert De Niro does a pretty good character assessment of Donald Trump:

https://m.youtube.com/watch?list=LLyTVAj6Dc0gY2gR4tY2MXKg¶ms=OAFIAVgC&v=hFpFDyKeqyA&mode=NORMAL

Hilary is not perfect. In many ways she's just another politician. Commentator, satirist and self-described 'genetic Republican' P. J. O'Rourke said that he would for the first time in his life vote for a Democrat. "Hillary is wrong about everything, but only within normal parameters".

If I were American, I'd be voting for Clinton even if she published her emails on a neon sign in Times Square.

Hillary is as corrupt and self serving as they come. Maybe even moreso than Trump. And she fully intends to continue the foreign policy that has caused so much suffering over so many years. Trump will undoubtedly pi$# off just about every moral person on the planet but Hillary is going to pi$# off every country that may be willing to go to war. And of course she will continue the far left crap that is leading to the rise of far right nationalism throughout the west. The idea of trump in power makes my skin crawl but the long term consequences may be less severe than the alternative. Then again. They may be worse. Thing is. we will never know because only one will get in and we will have to live with the consequences whatever they may be.

Thanks for the interesting sites Eevo & CF, if either of these ratbags is POTUS .........?

Maybe someone in the US will pull it all together and they will start again with some fair dinkum CLEAN candidates.

The FBI had to reveal the email situation with HC and DT in a sextape, "Weirder by the minute" is an understatement CF.

I have heard a lot of people wonder about just how we get to the situation where America gets to choose between these two.
I can't see it as anything but a sign of the division in our society.this is not an isolated incident. Trump, Hanson, brexit, the rise of the right in Europe. These things don't just happen. they are a reaction to the failings of the socialist /global experiment that the west has been partaking in. It simply went to far and now we will have to deal with the consequences. The backlash has probably only started and will unfortunately likely go too far itself.hopefully not though and whoever wins this US election we can only hope that the next candidate is more centred and compromising.

I've actually read that several times over the past few days. It seem many Americans would love to do the same.

Can crooked Hillary snatch defeat from the jaws of a dodgy Donald victory? A recent poll here produced these results about the daily double:

ďA week out from the US presidential election and Essential polling has found that just 11% of Australians think that Donald Trump is ďsomeone who will strengthen the US relationship with AustraliaĒ while 53% of Australians view Hillary Clinton as someone who will strengthen ties between the two countries. In a series of questions asking which attributes describe the two candidates, more than two-thirds of Australians polled associated the Republican with words like superficial (71%), narrow-minded (75%), arrogant (85%), intolerant (74%), aggressive (83%) and erratic (78%).

When it comes to Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, just 33% found her trustworthy, in polling that took place before the latest revelations over her emails, and 24% thought her more trustworthy than most politicians. Clinton scored highly on attributes like intelligent (74%), hard-working (71%) and a capable leader (60%). Expectations arenít too high, though ó only 39% of those polled would describe her as visionary.Ē

In a weeks time, our time we'll know either way which one of these two losers' wins, much to the detriment of their home country and Australia.

I completely agree. What is happening is a 'snap back' societies are starting to feel that globalism, 'left wing' policies have not delivered what they promised, a lot of this coming down to the loss of local industry to other countries, largely China. .
I agree that what we are seeing is just the start, don't be suprised in Hanson support continues to grow in Australia, and the growth of the far right starts to have an increase impact in Europe.

However wins in the US will be hated, and likely the worst President in history but let is be a warning to parties all around the western world.

What are the odds of either making it through a full term anyway without getting impeached, whoever wins is going to be fighting battles left right and centre throughout their term, however long it lasts. Bernie Sanders is a fool, only 18-21yo brainwashed students think his unicorn ideals are great, he reminds me of the far left greens here, idealistic (and sounds good, sure) but completely nonsense to implement any of it in the real world. Australians should take a passing care to who wins, trade implications and military alliances could change for the much worse. I agree with the notion that trumps rise is mainly due to people having had enough of leaders bowing to political correctness and the trashing of free speech and personal responsibilities, i am, its getting to the silly end, whats the end game for that direction, think about it, its worse in american institutions and universities than here, but look at safe schools program, and 18c (which got thrown out of court almost by contempt in relation the the qld uni students), i was watching videos on youtube about social justice warriors getting owned and stumbled across a guy called Ben Shapiro, i recommend getting on there and checking out some of his speeches at universities (a lot have banned him from doing so), and Ben Shapiro Thug Life,, funny [censored]

Very hard to go past "Idiocracy" which should be re-released as a documentary now.

Some later films of WC Fields have titles and lead characters (played by WC) that somewhat describe the election and the candidates:

- You Can't Cheat an Honest Man (certainly not the Donald) with lead: Larson E. Whipsnade (Larson E could apply to either Trump and Clinton)

- My Little Chickadee (Hillary is certainly no spring chicken) with lead: Cuthbert J. Twillie (husband Bill is known as slick Willie)

- Never Give a Sucker an Even Break (thats how both Trump and Clinton view the American public), with lead: The Great Man (that's Trump's self opinion).

A sign in the USA says it all: "We the people, need help!"
