This trough should give us a little bit of rain as it pushes through tomorrow, might get a rumble in some areas if we are lucky!!

Hope so HF, the warming temps and breeze dry things out pretty bloody quick this time of year. If not much rain tomorrow, hose will have to go in the pool for a while.

No pool weather here RF. 13 degs at home at the moment. It must be freezing down south. Hopefully you get some action out of it. Steady soaking rain at the moment.

Apparent is under 10 degs. I am not sure why but I am actually enjoying it. I went and picked up a load of free firewood earlier and it was raining and cold but somehow enjoyable. Just had a hot pie for lunch , the flano and moccos are on and it's a nice change.

Tomatoes and cucumbers are wilting big time in the heat today, will have to give them a drink tonight

Yeah very unusual RF. My coldest day in winter was 18degs but today has topped out at 14.9 degs. Everyone is rugged up in Bunnings.

Just checking Bundy's historical records it would appear today smashed the coldest day on record for October (1959) by 2.5 degs.

How good does that line look going through Townsville at the moment? They'll be loving it.

Yeah it's crazy mate ,especially over half way through Spring in Qld.

Looks like you'll get a drink tomorrow morning according to your forecast. Maybe a storm for good measure if you're very lucky.

No record broken in the end. It warmed up to 20 degs before 9.00am today. At least most of the east coast got some rain out of it, including Townsville where they were crying out for rain.

Went to Mackay on W/E, seemed greenest around Proserpine, ultra dead and scorched grass around Tville and to south of Bowen.

Started watering lawn, not much rain on the immediate outlook and with SOI declining rapidly - the situation of dryness could extend

Ron,Having a look at the rainfall totals it looks like between here and Innisfail were really the only area to score any rain...just dribs and drabs elsewhere..and it looks like its clearing away to the north..Wandjina might be right..nothing much forecast in the next week or 2 anyway...so much for La nina predictions of a wet spring..maybe some places to the south but not Nth Qld...
