Question is - is it heading south-east like most of the other showers on the radar. If it heads south-east then brassy will miss out

Last few frames are probably at some good depth to hit the 700's where the post-cap steering flow is. Lets give it a few more and see where it meanders.

Just spoke to my wife who is at home at Regency Downs. Heaps of thunder, but not a drop of rain at home so far, and looks like the storm is going to skirt SE. So frustrating, when it's so darn close.

That Gatton cell on storm tracker is full of lightning and growing as it move in a SSEasterly direction towards Spring Mountain.

Some activity to the north of said cell, along the west of the dams. They look to be punching too. Given they line perpendicular-ish to SBF inflow, they shouldn't rob each other too much

Looks like it is firing up with 2 more cells building at Mt Binga and towards Somerset Dam. Nice good sea breeze here which could nicely fuel everything, 57% RH.

typing and posting to slow today.

New Farm webcam suggests enough instability towards the coast to keep the storms firing as they move off the ranges.

goood another one of these years where the majority of storms head south-east. This direction just isn't good for storms around Brissy

I don't think there was ever much doubt that the cap would break further west, it was whether or not storms could survive the journey to the coast once they hit the cooler seabreeze air.
