Point to pinnacle - at least it was cool - being wet not good though once they get to the top & stop.

It's a well organised thing though, they usually bus finishers back down really quickly.

Point to Pinnacle didn't go to the top - turned around at halfway and came back down.

OK - not a surprise really. I know they have done that before and it's smart when it's wet & windy on the top. Too much danger to people with chilling.

Thanks for that Blair - your range of knowledge never ceases to amaze me grin

Blair 'The Oracle" Trewin.

Going to be a warm week by November standards, October was the first month this year to be cooler than average.

Only knew that because quite a few people I know were running (it's on my to-do list sometime - I've run up the mountain from Hobart, but not in a race). They must make them tougher up north because the Triple Tops (on Mount Roland and associated peaks) went ahead as scheduled.

Yeah sure looking that way Snowies! forecast top of 29 degrees on Thursday, with Humidity down to 10-20% plus gusty Northwesterly winds wink

First job of the week was up at the Great Lakes today, was a decent amount of water about the paddocks, especially between Bothwell and Tods Corner!

Had 28mm in the past 48hrs to 9am, not to bad should keep the grass greener for a little bit longer! grin

Currently a mild 12.1 degrees with a light easterly breeze. smile

Forgot to add this,

Thursdays Fire weather Forecast:

'Hot, dry and fresh and gusty northwesterly developing. Fine and partly cloudy until showers develop about the west during the late evening. Dry air lurks aloft and there is a chance RH's may be lower than forecast.'

Hi all

16.5mm to 9am

After a few glorious spring days its back to the cold, wet weather. Misty with constant drizzle that hasn't stopped all day, and a very cool 10-20kts SW.

Geepers, big contrast, very sunny and quite warm out there today - certainly throughout the north. Launnie is 22.5, Wynyard 21. Hobart struggling to get close to the forecast top of 20, currently 14.6.

Evening everyone,

Yeah looking warm tomorrow, should see some strong gusty winds before the front later on in the arvo, humidity forecast down to 13%!! So its going to be a very dry day..

Max out here today of 20.8 degrees at 3.35pm, quite a bit warmer than in the city which reached 16.4 degrees,

Looking forward to more of tomorrow's weather in the next couple months, hey Payshense, you might see a bit of sun out your way tomorrow, looks like the winter weather will be back in the arvo unfortunately! grin

Currently: 13.2 Degrees with a light SSE breeze. smile

I reckon your spot on SF, its meant to be warmer monday compared to tomorrow, less wind on Monday which will allow the heat to build up in inland districts! grin

Fair enough, thought you might have seen or heard those numbers in another forecast somewhere.

850TMPs around 15 today and 19 on Monday certainly suggests temps in the mid to high 20's and low to mid 30's. For fun, and to be different, I'll go 28, 30 and 27 for Today, Monday and Tuesday - 850T's peak during Monday night, so a late Max Monday, early Max Tuesday - Tuesday could be a lot colder if the 850T's drop of earlier like ACCESS - I'll stick with GFS for now...

Certainly warming up a lot more at the moment all over the joint. Summer is certainly starting to make it's influence known.

Should be a bit of a cool off though late next week down there. Nothing flash but possibly an odd flake on the peaks.
