Your wind speed will be lower due to the height yours is mounted about 3 meters if i remember right.
The proper height is 10 meters high that is why they have higher readings and different location.
Here is a link again for placement. If you mount differently you have to accept errors in readings.

Just thought i would add a chart to calibrate for different heights for fine offset cheaper stations .
Examples:
Height (metres) Multiplier
0.5 / 1.42
1.0 / 1.37
1.5 / 1.32
2.0 / 1.29
2.5 / 1.25
3.0 / 1.22
3.5 / 1.20
4.0 / 1.18
4.5 / 1.15
5.0 / 1.13
5.5 / 1.12
6.0 / 1.10
6.5 / 1.08
7.0 / 1.07
7.5 / 1.06
8.0 / 1.04
8.5 / 1.03
9.0 / 1.02
9.5 / 1.01
10 / 1
Use in calibration multiplier for different heights .EG for 5 mts high use 1.13.
Hope this helps someone as not everyone can get a 10 mt or 33 ft height .

Is that an aluminium pole Steve? I have the same weather station but keep mine close to the ground. I don't get accurate wind speeds and directions but I believe the temperature readings are more accurate having it closer to the ground.

Yes it is grin yeah but the day but the fan in the davis vantage would be good because the temp reading has to be 1.5m or 2m above ground for the Temp i love the wind
