Good ole sea gale is pumping away here, started of northerly early this morning but it quickly turned NE. At guess I reckon some gust are about the 50km mark.

Hopefully that southerly stalls, right about now would be good!!

Nice time lapse Poida84.

Bom is forecasting 38 degrees for penrith tommorow from memory it was initially 33 or 34 degrees.

Could be a good storm day with those temps.

Sunday I launched a chase to the southern tablelands. After messing with some 1 out of 10 stuff at Marulan, I pushed further west to Goulburn. Here I honestly was torn between heading north, or south. Decision was made when the Canberra radar showed an outflow boundary from a storm near Braidwood.

The gamble paid off as a pulse went up near Windellama. Hail was not as big as I expected.

Best to watch video on full HD on Youtube

Wow too right, the forecast here has also been updated to 28C so another warm one. Looking good for a storm tomorrow arvo. Today I had a few splats of rain coming home and things were trying to develop but nothing came of it. Simply just a perfectly warm afternoon for an outside beer. Love this weather!!

Awesome stuff ozthunder. Will watch vid at work tomorrow on the wifi.

Finally there will be some wind in the mid levels for storms tomorrow, and pretty decent shear at that. A good chance of something here I reckon, around lunchtime or early arvo before some cold cold air moves in. A top of 28C expected before the change.

Seeing as though we up in North QLd are still being screwed over by drought and nearly 10 months without a storm.

Im looking forward to seeing a storm or 2 next week in Sydney smile

Sucks that you guys are still in drought. Amazing that Townsville is so dry but areas north are among the wettest in the country.

Yeah early signs for storms in Sydney next week are looking good, hopefully it doesn't change too much.

SEer change came through a little while ago but it's useless because it's now cooler but humid. Would have preferred 20+ degrees with low humidity tonight.

Great picture and video Ozthunder.

* * * *

The Southerly that Kizz mentioned seems to have got lost between Wattamolla (passed through there around 8:45PM) and Kurnell. It seems to have run out of puff.

It was probably those showers that went through here

Foggy this again this morning. The easterly seems to always bring the fog in by morning, and the humidity is 100% so no surprises really

There was a near-stationary cell near that area for quite a while last night. It never made it over my way.

BOM's forecast for storms today has gone from 'possible' a few days ago to 'likely' now. I guess the timing of the change now arriving in the late arvo on the Central Coast and todays wind shear assisting the movement of them from the ranges are a couple of factors. I'm no expert but conditions seem ripe for a bit of action later!

We had the change in Narooma at 12 noon yesterday (22/11/16) so it is very slow in reaching the Sydney region.

That change fizzled out literally on Sydney's doorstep, as prophesied by Kizz yesterday afternoon. It passed through Bellambi and Wattomolla mid evening last night, but never reached Sydney stations.

There doesn't seem to be a well defined change at the moment. Winds on the coast are SW-S Southwards from about Moruya.

The BOM has knocked a couple of degrees off Sydney's forecast temps. It's a bit cooler than this time yesterday, clear blue skies with the Easterly up and running. Forecast for this afternnon looks very bullish for storms.

Just checked the weather - good timing.

We are about 27 or 28 at the moment HOWEVER Orange is currently 16 and Cowra is 20.

I have a vague suspicion that the change is not far away grin

No showers in sight etc, obviously initially at least just an air mass change. Quite a dramatic change in temps at that it would seem.
