I have a Weatherzone Pro subscription.
I have left unchecked the box "I would like to receive promotions and special offers." I find all promotions offensive. My needs are few, and I buy very little. Certainly, I will not be buying anything in these advertisements.

In the last week, on opening weatherzone.com, I am faced with very large intrusive promotions. I dislike them intensely.
I would be prepared to pay quite a lot, say $200 per month to be free of these Orwellian nasties.

Do I have that option? Is my share of the weatherzone costs that are paid for by these ads greater than $200 per month? I could go higher than that.

Back on 22 October, a poster named "wandjina" voiced a complaint about intrusive advertisements similar to mine in the forum "General Weather".
I saw that weatherzone did not respond.
On 25 November, I posted my complaint here in "Weatherzone Q and A", expecting some response. A week later, I have not had a response either.
May I point out that I am one of your most regular and most loyal contributors. I have posted 2000 times on these weatherzone forums since August 2003, usually with personally researched material. I was deeply hurt by the closure of the "Climate Change" forums which were my special interest.

These nasty advertisements clearly take priority over weather information, which loads only after all advertisements have finished loading.
I find that I cannot simply allow weatherzone to open itself as my home page. I must hit "Log In" immediately and hit "Log In" again in the window that appears.
I find this unacceptable. I would like something done about it.

Is anyone minding the shop?

What/how many advertisements are you getting? On the home page without logging in, I get 5 adverts. Three on the right hand side: one between the Login and Tweets sections, one between the WZ for iPhone iPad section and WZ Facebook section, and another one below the WZ Facebook section. Then in the centre of the page further down, two between the WZ Extremes/Records section and the bottom section of the page. I don't get any popup adverts visiting this page.
Logging into WZ Pro, there are no advertisements (as they promise).

use an ad-blocker and you wont get any....

To have to always sign in first you must have your settings so that you dont have passwords saved. Look at changing that and you should have it always open straight away.

Yes l downloaded an 'ad-blocker' was the best thing l did, it also helps with web page response times. My web pages open straight away, with AdBlock
