Finally getting something decent here, got dark real quick, trees bending with wind gusts ahead of the storm, lightning thunder rain increasing.

Yep, right up that Beauy/Logan /Brizz Corridor - good on'em !
0.7mm to settle the dust 'ere, between Sthprt Nerang; rain fell before us, near zilch over us; now dropping it down the other side ! Noice and almost chilly atm - betterra than a poke in the eye with a blunt stick !
Hopeful some more from the current activity down Kyogle way ? Touch wood ! !

Looked great on radar and on approach, but unfortunately weakened. On the NW flank we had heavy rain and some wind gusts.

I think tomorrow will be our day.

That was good, sideways rain, plenty C2G, booming thunder, frozen peas & the odd marble, good wind, all that brought 16.5mm.
Power gone as well, lightning must have bashed a trannie or a tree come down on a line somewhere.
People around Somerset better look out, looks nasty on radar.

Just looking at the radar. Ball tearer. Even looks like a hook just formed to the east of esk. Right at the back of the cell so might not be anything but it sure looks the part

Cheers Redbucket, had to run around in the damn cold rain/hail clearing blocked rainhead filters off all that damn eucalyptus flower fluff. Bloody annoying, at the same time felt great playing in the rain.

Well,we just had a cell pass over us that was yellow, but produced very little in the way of rain. It must have been quite high based as it was very lightning active but spits and spurts. All bark and no bight.

That storm made a good distance, from south of Gatton to looking like lasting to Rainbow Beach on radar & still coming up with a brown core.

And the low level cloud feeding into it as it was building behind the range was really impressive too. I was sure we'd get some action from it.
Unfortunately the core pushed almost straight north, we just got the very south-eastern corner of it. The wait continues for us here in the valley....

Pan from Toowong this afternoon about 3:00pm. Finished up passing over with just a bit of rain and a few gusts up in this exposed position. No hail.

No power for a few hrs now, we had much worse storms than this before. So much for our electricity grid getting maintained & working well.
Ha, just came back on.
