Some pics from today, I picked up my car from the panel beaters today after being rear ended a few weeks back, then got some hail damage today, so back to the panel beaters again lol.

Pics were taken at Jimboomba

Wow, great photos Steve O.
Another 3mm here today after 3mm yesterday.
53.5mm since the 27th.
Heavier rain in town late this afternoon, very localised.

Great photos, Lani. Colin. Foehn Corespondent. Namarakun. Gleno. & Stevo.

I was again up at Mt Lindesay and grabbed some nice footage, it was almost a repeat of yesterday up here. I had just finished getting all the files off cameras from the day before and could see the sky rapidly darkening down Kyogle way. Fired up the bus to head to my vantage point and had no clutch, slave cylinder packed it in . That wasn't going to stop me so up and the mountain changing without the clutch , I just got there in time to set up. Looked pretty impressive but was quite tame wind wise. Lightning is what worries me up here, some big bolts get thrown down and equally loud thunder echoing of the rocky faces of the surrounding peaks. Will get some footage up in the near future. Looking forward to tomorrow's show.

Cheers Joe

Smashing capture Gleno. Looks like a scene from Independence Day .Brilliant.

We got the absolute dregs of a storm that pushed up over Childers and dissolved as it arrived here at home ,delivering a massive 0.2mm.

I think tomorrow's final day of storms will be the best. Each day the storms have reached closer and died closer to the coast.

Tomorrow we have more heat, more CAPE, better steering winds and some nice turning with height. That being said I suspect north of Brisbane will see the best of it with these particular steering winds.

Enjoy it because after that comes 5 days of extreme heat without storm relief.

Great photos everyone! Certainly was an entertaining afternoon.

I had a short window to snap a few shots near home. Unfortunatly, my timing was off and I missed the best of the shelf structure. But, still caught the underside of the storm and some greenage before branches and twigs started flying all over the place.

it feels like a storm day today - not a cloud in the sky from what I can see so shouldn't be any problem with the temps getting up there ... we really dodged a bullet yesterday ...

awesome pictures from everyone - love seeing them!!!!

HUGE differences remain between GFS and some other models like EC and ACCESS-R today.

GFS has very little precip (perhaps partly due big capping) while EC and ACCESS have lots.

If you go by EC/ACC-R, most things look nice today for widespread severe storms (including the stronger shear than previous days) although once again, I wish there was a synoptic system to add vorticity and that extra punch to things rather than just airmass thunderstorms.

If you go by GFS, very little activity.

If you go by the middle-of-the-ground multimodel approach, a moderate extent of activity.

It'll be on like donkey Kong again today. Had a few marbles and peas yesterday from the very edge of that storm. It looked nastier than it really was..

I agree with you there, I was driving from Jimboomba to Brisbane hoping to outrun the storm as I wanted to get a shot from the storey bridge, I got swamped, but was only very heavy rain and the odd CG. The clouds were certainly green though.
