Three cracks of thunder today in close succession mid-arvo whilst at work, caught a glimpse of a CG through the window as I was busy with something. Everyone was a bit surprised :-)

Nice swirl to the south:

I was wondering why it wasn't already - every other doppler is. Possibly because it was the first in Australia, would be my guess (but should have been made accessible to that long ago)

Yer thats what I thought with us having the first Doppler Radar service here, we should have been upgraded to the 6 mins when a few more radars upgraded to Doppler.

Now we wait for real time radar wink

Awesome shocked didn't realize the others were on 6 minutes.

I guess that means the lightning data updates at the same rate?

That would be so cool.

Not quite real time but the loop above is beautiful. Can see much more detail when you have less delay.

My cat brought in this little guy last night -

Luckily avoided any serious injury and can hear him croaking away in the garden now.

I knew frogs were around Adelaide but thought they tended to be near water. Asked a neighbor and he seemed to think it was burrowing frog that can spend years waiting until there's enough rain for it dig itself out and do its thing. Will have to see if I can identify it.

Yeah nice few bolts happening here. I heard the thunder but assumed that it must have been the grain trucks with the harvest getting into full swing here. Just enough moisture to slow things down for them yesterday and today.

Some here might be interested in helping to try out the new Weatherzone beta app - http://forum.weatherzone.com.au/ubbthreads.php/topics/1375990/Weatherzone_App_Beta#Post1375990

I think it's for android only at the moment.
