I don't think we will flood on the massive 4ml we have had.

Nearly at 200mm in St Lawrence now! Share it around! I have received 30mm so far, I'll be very disappointed if I don't get at least double that. Today was supposed to be the biggest day for rain here, it's just drizzly at the moment....

Yeah Vinnir, from 30-100mm tomorrow down to 5-15mm here. It's a bit sad really! I really hope for more today but can't really tell what's happening ATM. It's all out to sea and over st Lawrence area! Gladstone airport scored 121mm while the radar didn't see a drop!

Looks like the rain off to sea is moving to Rocky and bypassing Yeppoon.

I agree I think that's it for us, maybe a few showers and drizzle but looking at radar and sat pic it seems most of that energy and resulting heavy convergence is gone hence the BOM drastically reducing the amounts of forecast rain.

Constant drizzle and 29c. It's actually pretty uncomfortable haha.

I feel so deflated, was looking forward to nice heavy rain for a couple days. It's not too much to ask, I thought.
Brisbane got 100mm and they weren't even forecasted to receive that much.
Ugh.

10-30 mm for Yeppoon tomorrow now 20-50mm.

Seems the BOM is useless at predicting rain.

I think it is all to do with the BOM's prediction for a drier then normal January. Even this event was not a major rain event for CQ by my standards.

The fall quantities were quite sporadic. Much like last year. A lot of our creeks have not run since the cyclone near two years ago.

It is not like a real rain event where everyone in a couple of hundred km diameter gets 75mm of rain.

Essentially we need a rain depression off a cyclone to go through the region.
