3112mm for 2016 , without the 5mm that Dormant claimed, lol That 5mm go's to start off this great year of wet we are about to receive smile

Got my chart done this morning after working slowly I managed to save a template after all these years entering it in a new sheet each year..

Now bring on a nice stalled convergence zone over the whole NTC ..

Cheers

Pedantic mode... that total of mine was for the year midnight to midnight, I'll have you know, Bunyip.
Nice to hear from you both, though, Bunyip and Bob
I can just see that rotation coming back for Townsville but not us... and then coursing south, eeek.

Looks like the damp winter helped you guys out, I'm guessing especially you RD? I think areas around Adelaide received more than we did here..
Muggy as today, reached 30c very early. Might even go find a storm this afternoon if I get all my bookwork/ outside jobs done.

Double pedantic mode. Anything that falls from 9am on 31 Dec goes into the next year. ie the gauge gets read and recorded ar 9am on 1 Jan

Just to be cantankerous, I often wonder about the evaporation over the 3 or 4 hours to 9am, especially in the outback. 😐

Egads @28 you can't expect public servants all over the country to get up at midnight every night to read the rain gauge. Imagine the overtime bill

How do we shake the Possums out of the tops of the trees at Weather Zone to get them to believe that one of the wettest places in Australia is not being properly represented?????
Cow Bay registers 3261 mm for twelve months with 164 days worth tipping the rain gauge out. But Weather Zones "Official" recording station for "Our" area is Low Isles "The Wet Desert" Yep they got 162 days of rain and registered 1696 mm. So thats what the world believes Hey!! If you want to be believed tell the truth !!! Or are you a Government Organisation ??????

CBB all weatherzone do is get BOM data and present it in a more flashy way to make it look like it isn't BOM
